Dr. Ram Singh

Owner and Medical Director

Dr. Singh grew up in New York and graduated with an associates in agriculture science from SUNY Cobleskill and later a bachelors in animal science and biology from Cornell University. His interest in veterinary medicine grew from managing equine facilities and his position as a dairy herdsman. He attended The Ohio State University and focused his veterinary studies in equine and bovine medicine. Following veterinary school, Dr. Singh interned at Brock Veterinary Clinic in Lamesa, Texas, a mixed animal practice focused predominately on performance horse medicine. After completing the internship, he moved back to his home state of New York and started working in a busy mixed animal practice. It was here where he found his special interest in small animal medicine and surgery while specializing in equine lameness. Dr. Singh really enjoys soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Singh recently moved to California with his wife, Mary in September of 2019 to be close to his family who all live in the San Joaquin county. Once settled in California, Dr. Singh started working at a busy 24-hour small animal emergency hospital. At this clinic, he learned a lot about life-saving medicine, surgeries and care. He also met Dr. Tanner at Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale and was hired to work 1-2 days a week.

In 2020, Dr. Singh and Mary decided to settle in Oakdale. Shortly after, Dr. Singh started working full-time at Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale, where he loves being part of his hometown and surrounding communities.

In Dr. Singh’s free time, he enjoys riding his horse, working cattle, hiking, visiting National Parks, wildlife photography, and camping. He also enjoys all aspects of home remodeling.
