Katelyn

Head Veterinary Technician

Katelyn was born and raised in the Oakdale area. She has always been interested in a career involving animal care and started working at Family Veterinary Care in 2013 as a student through the ROP program at Oakdale High School. Katelyn officially joined our team as a Kennel Assistant in 2014. Since then she has been dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skill set in the Veterinary field and is now a Head Technician. She is very passionate about her work here and always strives to give the best care to our patients. Katelyn, her husband Clayton, and their son all live together with their three fur babies; Nash, Nemo, and Greg. In her free time you can find her spending time with family and friends.

Rebecca

Registered Veterinary Technician

Rebecca was born and raised in Modesto, California. During her college years, she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Science as well as certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician from Western Career College in 2008. She spent the first five years of her career working at an emergency veterinary hospital in Modesto that specialized mostly in small animal medicine. She then spent the next five years working at a mixed large and small animal practice in Wyoming. There, she worked with many different species from cows and horses, to dogs and cats, and even exotics! As a child, Rebecca always knew she would pursue a career in the veterinary field and joined our Family Veterinary Care team in April of 2021. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and of course her furry “children.” Rebecca and her husband Jake have two sons, many rescued dogs, and two cats.

Cynthia

Veterinary Technician / Referral Coordinator

Cynthia was born in San Jose and now lives in Modesto. She started here at Family Veterinary Care in June of 2020 as a Veterinary Assistant and has taken on the role of our referral coordinator. She recently graduated from the veterinary technician program at Modesto Junior College and is studying to take her boards to become a Registered Veterinary Technician! She cares for all animals and is always very compassionate and understanding. Cynthia enjoys making a positive difference in not only the lives of the animals, but their owners as well. She has one crazy dog named Yogi, who loves to tag along on all sorts of adventures. In her free time, she loves to go camping and to the beach.

Lauren

Veterinary Technician

Lauren is a third generation here in Oakdale, where she currently lives on her family’s almond ranch with their 3 dogs. She grew up involved in 4-H and FFA showing livestock, which helped develop her love for animals and taking care of them. She attended MJC where she obtained certification in Small and Large animal Veterinary Technology. Lauren joined Family Veterinary Care in June of 2020. When she is not loving on your fur babies, she is loving on her own and enjoys hanging out with her family and friends or going to livestock shows.

Kristina

Veterinary Technician

Kristina was born in Tracy. She and her three sisters were raised by their parents and always had plenty of animals to play with including dogs, cats, chickens, goats, sheep, horses, cows, and more. While growing up, Kristina was actively involved in 4H and FFA showing many different animals. She joined Family Veterinary Care’s team in July of 2020 and is currently enrolled in school to get her Veterinary Technician degree. Kristina is passionate about the veterinary field and loves seeing our clients and their pets come in. When she is not at home with her cat, two dogs, bearded dragon, and three chickens you can find her doing photography and spending time with her family.

Amanda

Veterinary Technician

Amanda has been in the veterinary field for almost three years and joined Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale in April of 2021. She is preparing to to take her test to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. While she is currently working in small animal medicine she also has an interest in large animal, exotic, and marine medicine and hopes to expand her knowledge in those areas in the future. In her spare time, you can catch her in the mountains, at the beach, or at home with her “Funny Farm” of 3 dogs, 4 cats, chickens, and farm animals.

Melissa

Administrative Assistant

Melissa was born in Wisconsin and now lives in Oakdale with her husband and their three children. She has over 20 years of experience working in the Veterinary field and joined Family Veterinary Care in 2017 as an Office Administrator. While not at work, Melissa loves being outdoors and can often be found camping, hiking, or swimming. She and her family have five four-legged friends named Betty, Nigel, Darlene, Dang, and Yokum.

Devin

Kennel & Veterinary Assistant

Devin was born in Lodi but raised here in Oakdale. While attending Oakdale High School he interned at Family Veterinary Care as an ROP student and joined our team soon after graduation as a Kennel Assistant in 2019. He is currently attending classes at Columbia College and hopes to study Sonography in the future. While working here, he has picked up two little furry cat friends named Blake and Margot. Luckily for him, his family loves animals just as much as he does so they were happy to add the new additions! Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his
friends online.

Madilyn

Veterinary Assistant

Madilyn’s home town is Planada, California, where she was raised on an almond farm. After attending Golden Valley high school, Madilyn decided to attend Modesto Junior College. Passionate about helping animals, big or small, Madilyn is currently studying veterinary medicine, and is on track to receive her large and small animal veterinary technician certificate, as well as an associates degree in Veterinary science.

Outside of her studies, Madilyn is very active in the world of agriculture. She was part of Future Farmers of America (FFA) in high school, where she found her passion raising pigs for competition.

In high school she started showing pigs at her local county fair in Merced. During her junior year, she decided to take showing to the next level and attended a few jackpots in California. In the last few years, she has received multiple awards, Champions and banners for showing pigs, such as Reserve Champion Duroc, Champion Spot, Champion Dark Cross, Champion Light AOB and Champion sweepstakes at NJSA. Because of her passion in showing pigs, Madilyn has received the highest award through FFA, the American FFA Degree. Showing pigs has led Madilyn down an ambitious path in life, receiving an opportunity to work at No Limit Genetics. She has learned and accomplished many things while working there, such as developing her A.I. skills, nutrition knowledge, herd health management, and biosecurity plans.

To gain experience in the veterinary world, Madilyn is working as a Veterinary Assistant at Family Veterinary Care and will be focusing on achieving her Registered Veterinary Technician License in the future.

Ali

Customer Service Representative

Alexandra, or fondly known as Ali, is a Client Service Representative at Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale. Whether in person, on the phone or through e-mail, Ali plays an important role in ensuring clients and patients are well taken care of. Ali always has a positive outlook and strives to create an enjoyable experience for anyone she meets. She believes in always giving her best effort and that a kind word or gesture can always change someone’s day in a positive way.

Outside of work, Ali enjoys long walks with her dog, Coco. She also enjoys drawing, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Mary

Growing up on a farm in rural Upstate New York, Mary has always had a keen interest in companion animal and livestock care. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communications from SUNY Oswego, and has always gravitated towards anything involving animals.

This has led Mary to work in different horse stables, farms and veterinary hospitals. She has been involved with everything from assisting veterinarians with procedures or general care, reception, administrative processes and management.

In September 2019, Mary and her husband, Dr. Singh, decided to move from New York to California to be closer to Dr. Singh’s family. Shortly after settling in Oakdale, Mary gained additional experience working at a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital before joining Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale in August 2021.

Since joining Family Veterinary Care, Mary loves being a part of Oakdale and the surrounding community, strengthening the bond between families and their companions through the care and love Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale offers.

When Mary and Dr. Singh are not working, she enjoys traveling, hiking and exploring National Parks, reading, being outside, gardening and riding her horses.
